Where Are You on the Continuum of Health?

When you choose KC Wellness and Physiotherapy from Independence, your in-person visits take place at our Kansas City office on Grand Blvd. It is the practice's only location, and Dr. Casey provides your chiropractic, physiotherapy and rehabilitation care from your first visit on.

“We believe that wellness is a continuum. It is not static, but ever changing. We are either moving toward disease or toward wellness each moment we make a choice of what to drink or eat, how we think, how we interact with others, and how we move.”

Dr. Casey's approach looks for the underlying causes of pain and restricted movement, then pairs specific treatment with lifestyle changes that support normal function.

The Five Phases of Health

At KC Wellness and Physiotherapy, we meet people where they are, at their phase of health. No matter where someone lies on the continuum of health, we believe anyone can achieve their personal level of wellness.

  1. Phase 1

    Crisis

Disease stage, poor quality of life, limited function of body and/or mind. Often chronic pain exists.

  2. Phase 2

    Alarm

Symptoms exist, or an internal instinct is present that says something is not quite right.

  3. Phase 3

    Sustain

Neither disease nor wellness exists. No symptoms, and health is not a priority.

  4. Phase 4

    Transform

The pathway to wellness. Nutrition, movement, exercise and positive thinking are being introduced into daily life.

  5. Phase 5

    Wellness

Dynamic vitality and optimal function, proactively making wellness choices every day.
